Day – 58 – Oxygen!

My heart flutters

Frantic,

Drunk and psychotic.

To fill up my

Pale body

With life and breath

Because I

Suffocate and

Dessicate

In your absence.

  1. Mark Twain once said, “The difference between the almost right word and the right word is really a large matter. ’tis the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.” Dessicate is lightning!
One of the things I like to do with a poem is read the end line words because that is the strongest place in a line of poetry. “My” “Body” “Breath” are great end words!

    1. Thank you SO much! I’m so happy to read that. That is a intriguing way to read the poems, I’m happy that I passes the test which I didn’t know exist. Thank you so much for dropping by, always a pleasure to have you here!
