Day – 36 – The Dam

Through the Up and down,

I have flown and flown…

Never reaching down

my soul, Dip and drown,

One day, You came down

the hill, valley’s crown,

Stop (save) me!

lai (or lay lyrique, “lyric lay”, to distinguish it from a lai breton) is a lyrical, narrative poem written in octosyllabic couplets that often deals with tales of adventure and romance.

  1. Ah….when we are down in the dumps, it is always nice to have someone come down to meet us and then limp with us back to the top! Once up there, it’s exhilerating to know we’ve achieved the climb with a friend.
